Members: M. Bar´┐Żn, R.G. Gilbert, M. Hess, R.G. Jones, J. Kahovec, T. Kitayama, P. Kratochvil, W. Val Metanomski, R.F.T. Stepto, and W. J. Work

Reissue of "The Purple Book" in an updated and enlarged version to replace the 1991 version (now obsolete and out-of-print).

All the chapters in this second edition of the Purple Book are official recommendations already published in PAC. An 'Introduction' and 'Guide' will be e
xceptions, as they are intended to be abridged, more readable versions of those recommendations; these chapters should be agreed on by the Subcommittee on Macromolecular Terminology and the Division President.
