VENUE
The IUPAC General Assembly venue is located in downtown Brisbane
at the City campus of the Queensland University of Technology (QUT),
nestled in a scenic location on a bend of the Brisbane River <http://www.qut.edu.au/pubs/campusvr/gpvr.html>.
The campus contains student eateries and three caf�/restaurants
(Degrees Caf�, City Gardens Caf�, and Artisans on the Yard) as well
as a theatre and art museum, all of which are open to the public.
The campus is immediately adjacent to the Botanical Gardens, historic
old Parliament House, and is only a short walk from the city mall
with its shopping arcades, restaurants, casino, theatres, and hotels.

CONGRESS
We take this opportunity to point out that the 38th IUPAC Congress,
"Frontiers in Chemistry", is being held 1-6 July 2001 concurrently
with the General Assembly. The General Assembly schedule has been
arranged to allow General Assembly participants to attend as many
of the Congress events as possible. Please
note that there is a special registration fee for General Assembly
delegates of AUD 400, including lunch Monday-Friday.

REGISTRATION
Pre-registration is required by returning the Participation
Questionnaire (download doc file - 26kb) to the IUPAC Secretariat
no later than 30 November 2000.
Registration for the General Assembly will be in Z block in the
foyer of level 4.
