PAC in CAS Science Spotlight

On 8 November 2004, CAS Science Spotlight* identified a paper published in the Union journal Pure and Applied Chemistry as one of the most frequently requested journal articles for the 3rd quarter of 2004. The paper entitled "Dual role of nucleophiles in palladium-catalyzed Heck, Stille, and Sonogashira reactions," is authored by Anny Jutand. The paper was published in PAC earlier this year (Pure and Applied Chemistry, 76(3), 565-576 (2004)) and is one in the collection of lectures presented at the 12th International Symposium on Organometallic Chemistry Directed Towards Organic Synthesis (OMCOS-12), Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 6-10 July 2003.

Congratulations to author, Anny Jutand, OMCOS editor, William Tam, and conference organizer, Mark Lautens, for pulling out such an outstanding publication in PAC.

Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) is the world's leader in providing chemical information. CAS highlighth the most requested documents using Real-Time Document Request™ (RDR™) ranking. Tallying researchers' actual requests (RDRs) for full-text articles via CAS online services establishes a new method of evaluating the actual use of scientific journals by scientists engaged in daily research.
CAS provides this information as a free service to the scientific community.
