COMMISSION ON SOLUBILITY DATA (V.8)
SUBCOMMITTEE ON SOLID SOLUBILITIES
Number: 583/6/87
Title: Fatty Acid Salts in Nonaqueous Binary Systems
Coordinator(s): F.W.
Getzen, J.A. Wood
and R.P. Varma
Completion Date: 1999
Objective:
The data are intended to serve as reliable and accurate
sources for use by workers in industry and agriculture as well as by
health workers. The importance of the reported measurements lies in
the fact that fatty acids have extensive and worldwide use as additives
and as essential components for industrial and chemical products. Additionally
the fatty acids and their salts are found as trace impurities, often
due to spillage, leakage or mishandling in the environment.
Progress:
This volume is essentially complete relative to initial data sets
compiled from references to 1985. The volume has been re-edited to remove
"white space" and update symbols. Final volume submission has been delayed
due to insufficient length relative to volume size. Data from reported
measurements up through 1996 have been added to complete the current
coverage of the volume. The finished volume should be completed and
ready for publication by the spring of 1999
