Abstract: Metallocene complexes of the Group 3 metals and lanthanides
have been utilized for cyclization/silylation reactions of polyunsaturated
organic substrates. Acyclic dienes, trienes, enynes, and dienynes can
be selectively cyclized to provide five- and six-membered rings in high
yields.
